Claims are won or lost long before they are submitted, in the quality of the record kept while the work was live. A strong position is a well-evidenced one: cause, effect and entitlement, captured as events unfold rather than reconstructed later.

How I approach it

I treat claims surveillance as a delivery discipline — capturing the contemporaneous evidence that entitlement depends on, structuring the argument around the contract and the critical path, and presenting it so it withstands challenge. This forensic, evidence-led approach has supported entitlement positions through to arbitration, backed by a Diploma in International Arbitration and FCIArb standing.
