Airfield infrastructure sits at the sharp end of aviation delivery — carried out to strict operational and safety standards, in tightly controlled windows, without disrupting flights. The scope spanned runways and the tunnels beneath them, aircraft parking stands, radar towers, fire stations and airfield lighting control systems (ALCMS) — not the passenger terminals.
The controls challenge
That environment leaves no room for a loose schedule. As Lead Scheduler within the Jacobs team, I led phased planning and schedule assurance built around live-operations constraints, reporting delivery and interface risk to leadership.
The insight
In aviation, precision in the plan is a safety property, not just a controls one. The schedule is part of how operations stay protected.
